thebestmovies.lol sells optional digital extras: extra votes and instant listings. Polar is the merchant of record. Cards, invoices, tax, and refunds go through Polar, not a checkout we run ourselves.
When a purchase is complete
Extra votes are credited after Polar confirms payment (typically the order.paid webhook). A paid listing goes live the same way, with votes equal to $1 = 2 votes on that title. Until Polar confirms, nothing is credited.
Extra votes
Vote credits are digital and are usually used quickly on Vote or Claim #1. If the credits are unused, ask for a refund soon — Polar’s window and our ability to reverse credits both matter. If you already spent the credits, we generally cannot unwind the ranking, but you can still ask; we may refund and then hide or adjust what we reasonably can.
Paid listings
A listing fee (from $15, custom amount) buys immediate publish plus votes on that title. If we reject or hide the title for legal or terms reasons shortly after payment, we will work with Polar on a refund. If the title stayed up and received the votes you paid for, that purchase did what it said on the tin — a refund is discretionary.
Rank is not guaranteed. Paying $50 does not lock #1 forever. Other people can vote.
How to ask
- Message @shittyvibecoder or email hello@thebestmovies.lol with the email you used at checkout and roughly when you paid.
- You can also use Polar’s customer portal / receipt tools if Polar sent you an email.
Chargebacks without talking to us first make Polar (and us) less likely to help next time. If Polar refunds an order, we remove unused credits and may hide a paid listing.
Polar’s policy
